Walks Calendar for Summer 2018/2019

The National Parks Association of NSW runs the largest activities program in the state, with over 1,000 bushwalks led by an extraordinary team of knowledgeable and skilled volunteer leaders every year.

At the Lachlan Valley Branch, a Summer program of walks has been developed to cater for the average fitness level, with an additional walk for the intrepid bush walker.

Today’s walk

Mandagery National Park – Saturday 3 November.  Meet at Parkes Lions Memorial Park at 9am. This is a 8km walk graded as Medium. Leader will be Martin Bell. Contact 0429 346 586.

All walks are subject to there being no adverse Rural Fire Service fire warnings at the time and no closure of the relevant State Forest due to hunting permits etc.

Walkers are reminded to bring along enough food and water for the entire day as well as suitable clothing, footwear, hat and sunscreen. A pair of good binoculars and a fold up chair is recommended.

Please contact the listed walk leader the night before the walk if you intend to take part. A $2 donation for each walker is appreciated.
