Exhibition – Art Forged in Miscellany
Listen to artists explore sounds and musicians deal in pictures made with words. It’s an exhibition with a difference. Come along and see “The Junkyard Drum Kit” – created entirely from garbage.
Art Forged in Miscellany is an exhibition that has grown from the desire to bring together a variety of experimental projects. The aim has been to encourage artists and musicians to work in areas away from their usual techniques.
The works on exhibit include experimental projects using the processes of soundscapes, accompaniment, animation and performance art. By using local sounds and sights, the very DNA of the area, the artists are able to describe the essence of their environment with a deeper connection.
It’s a labour of love and a work in restoration and reinvention – both for the materials used and the artists themselves.
