Held each year just the Sunday before Christmas, the service blends together ancient carols and modern worship songs as those who attend celebrate the birth of their saviour and redeemer Jesus Christ, and for many, this service marks the start of the Christmas season.
In past years there have been visiting musicians from Sydney, however with the year that we have had, there is a concentration on local talent, with Keola Aho, accompanied by Joseph Tanswell, providing a stunning performance, along with regular a capella vocal group Tapestry who will perform some Australian carols.
With the cancellation of Carols by Candlelight this year, this will be a great opportunity for people to get involved.
As a recommendation, those over 12 years of age may wish to wear a mask if singing.
As there are limited numbers available, it is requested that those wishing to attend please call the church on 68621868 or register through the Anglican Parish of Parkes Facebook page or website (parkesanglican.org).
