The Parkes RSL Sub-Branch invites you to the Middle East Area of Operations (MEAO) National Commemorative Day Service on Saturday 13 July 2024 at 11am.
RSL NSW established this day to honour the brave Australian military personnel and civilian staff from various agencies who served in Middle East conflicts.
From 2001 to 2021, Australians served in Afghanistan and Iraq. Tragically, 41 Australian lives were lost in Afghanistan and two lives were lost in Iraq, while many veterans returned with lasting physical and mental trauma.
Let’s come together and pay our respects to those who served against terrorism and honour their dedication and bravery. Lest we forget.
