Perth to Pacific Book Relay for Paint Parkes REaD

PAINT Parkes REaD is hosting their annual Community Reading Day at Parkes Leagues Club Auditorium* on Friday 10 May this year.

It’s been timed this year to celebrate that merry band of Paint Parkes REaD travellers as their book relay from Perth to Pacific passes through Parkes on its way to the Pacific Ocean at Wollongong.

The relay began on 20 March at the Western Australia Parliament House, and the little red car has been busily chugging its way to the East Coast ever since.

Children are encouraged to wear something red with their school uniform.

When

The day will begin at 9.30am, with entertainment and the relay arrival, finishing around 10.30am-11am.

Where

Parkes Leagues Club Auditorium

*Due to inclement weather, the Relay Arrival will be held at Parkes Leagues Club instead of Cooke Park.
