Parkes Shire Concert Band Presents

 

Platypus Quinet

A unique opportunity to enjoy a concert by the Woodwind  Platypus Quintet. Featuring Gordon Richter- clarinet (a previous PSCB member, who has organised the ensembles to visit and play in his hometown), Samantha O’Toole –  flute, Nick Zengoski – bassoon, Ben Porteous – oboe,     Simon Jones – horn. The Platypus Quintet was formed to promote new and unusual quintet arrangements by Paul Hindemith, Jacques Ibert and many more.

 

City Trombone Quartet

The City Trombone Quartet consists of four trombonists, Orange’s own trombonist Harry Macpherson, Cooper Rands, Oscar Lewis and Max Gregg.  This group will celebrate the lesser-known written for Trombone Quartet. They will play arrangements from Ludwig van Beethoven, Anton Bruckner, Camille Saint-Saens and others.

Tickets: $10 adult at the door

The concert is two hours in duration, with interval.

The Ensembles will conduct a workshop at the PSCB music room Wednesday 7th 2.30-3.30pm
