Inland Rail Conference

Event Info

Construction is about to start on the first section of Inland Rail, between Parkes and Narromine. ARTC Inland Rail are holding business and supplier briefing sessions to share what opportunities may be available for local business and what the requirements are to work with them.

Inland Rail is the largest freight rail infrastructure project in Australia. The Parkes to Narromine (P2N) section is the first part of Inland Rail to be built. Between Parkes and Narromine, we will upgrade 98.4km of existing rail track and build 5.3km of new rail track. Construction-related activities on this section are planned to start in September 2018. Work is expected to be completed by mid-2020.

After a competitive tender process, ARTC has selected INLink, a joint venture between BMD Constructions and Fulton Hogan, as our construction contractor to deliver the P2N project. During the peak of construction, there will be up to 200 people working on the project.

There will be opportunities for local businesses and suppliers to work with us to build Inland Rail. We will hold briefing sessions for suppliers and businesses to come and meet the team and find out more about what we are looking for and how you might be able to work with us.
