Members of the public are invited to view the exhibition showcasing both contemporary and ancient Wiradjuri history curated by the Galari -Lachlan Reconciliation Group. The Wiradjuri nation have a rich cultural history in the Parkes area. Evidence of their occupation has been found in many areas in the shire.

National Reconciliation Week started as the Week of Prayer for Reconciliation in 1993 (the International Year of the World’s Indigenous People) and was supported by Australia’s major faith communities. The dates commemorate two significant milestones – the successful 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision.
