Each year on this day Australians observe one minute’s silence at 11am, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended the First World War (1914-1918).

The Returned and Services League of Australia, Parkes Sub Branch, will commemorate Remembrance Day on Sunday, November 11, with a service at the Cenotaph in Cooke Park.
