Event Info

Join us for Saturday Sounds – a family-friendly picnic at the pavilion!
+ When: Saturday 19 February – 4:30pm-9pm.
+ Where: Cooke Park Pavilion.
+ What: A night of free live entertainment, food and fun! Admission is FREE, just bring a picnic rug.
First cab off the rank will be dancers from Parkes School of Dance followed by 4 young Indigenous brothers (Tyrece, Keanau, Ashton and Abel Robinson Towney) who will grace us with a didgeridoo performance.
Next up will be talented local artists, Amitie and Gracey Jones, who will wow the crowds with their vast range of vocals.
Headlining the event will be ‘PLUMP’ a 5-piece band from Canberra with a reputation for wowing audiences with their infectious energy and virtuosity. They cover a wide range of music from Soul, RnB, pop and rock so you’re guaranteed to be kept entertained all night long.
Consisting of Simone Glover, Aron Lyon, Jason varlet, Kyle Manning and Peter Campion, PLUMP’s band members have appeared on TV shows including ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ and stages around Australia, New Zealand, and Vanuatu with some of the biggest names in the business including;
Eskimo Joe, George Benson, Lior, Jimmy Barnes, Dragon, Ian Moss, The Whitlams, Vince Jones, Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Mahalia Barnes, Hayley Jensen, Kirsty Lee Akers, Timothy James Bowen, and the Ministry of Sound Orchestra.
This event will encourage our local community, as well as visitors to our region, to come along and enjoy a fun evening in the summer sunshine.
