Stargazing Live 2018

Event Info

Be out there amongst the stars tonight at the Parkes Radio Telescope to be part of the ‘Stargazing Live’ World Record observing attempt.

Wednesday 23 May from 7pm at the Visitors Centre at The Dish.

To be involved, you’ll need to arrive at the Observatory’s Visitors Centre, and be registered and setup around 7:00 PM in order to be interviewed by Dr Alan Duffy for the show. The video will then be broadcast at the end of the Stargazing Live program.

But, in order to qualify for the world-record attempt, you have to be here at 8:30 PM when it is set to happen around the country. You will need to bring a telescope or binoculars and observe the Moon (it’s easy to find) for 10 minutes.
