Youth Week 2022 in the Parkes Shire

Youth Week 2022 is just around the corner, kicking off on Monday 4 April and running until Thursday 14 April 2022. Youth Week is an opportunity for young people to come together and express their ideas and views, act on issues that affect their lives and create and enjoy activities and events with like minded individuals.

Parkes Shire Council has a put together a jam-packed program for Youth Week, including a number of free workshops and events, which will run throughout the course of the week across the Parkes Shire.

The events include:

Monday 4 April 2022
+ Youth DIY Art Workshop in the Marramarra Makerspace from 3.00 – 7.00pm

Tuesday 5 April 2022
+ Pizza and Pop-up Cinema in Cooke Park from 5.00pm, screening the newly released movie Free Guy

Wednesday 6 April 2022
+ Youth DIY Art Workshop in the Marramarra Makerspace from 3.00 – 5.30pm
+ CULT Movie Night in the Parkes Library & Cultural Centre from 6.00pm

Sunday 10 April 2022
+ Learn to Skate Workshop hosted by Totem Skating Collective at the Parkes Skate Park from 10.00am – 1.00pm

Monday 11 April 2022
+ BlueScope Youth Orchestra – Meet the Band at the Cooke Park Pavilion from 4.00 – 5.00pm
+ BlueScope Youth Orchestra – Community Concert at the Cooke Park Pavilion from 6.00 – 7.00pm

Tuesday 12 April 2022
+ Youth Library Lock-in Games Night in the Parkes Library & Cultural Centre from 5.30 – 8.00pm

Wednesday 13 April 2022
+ Youth DIY Art Workshop in the Marramarra Makerspace from 3.00 – 5.30pm

Bus transport to the Pop-Up Cinema and Skate Event will be provided from Tullamore, Trundle, Bogan Gate, Peak Hill and Alectown. Please phone the Parkes Library & Cultural Centre on (02) 6861 2309 to book your seat.
